Upon stepping off the plane in Dar es Salaam, you'll be greeted by our representative and begin your photography journey into Nyerere National Park.
It takes approximately 3 hours to reach the park gate, where many photo opportunities await. You'll embark on a game drive through the park and then arrive at Selous Impala camp for dinner.

Wake up early for a morning game drive from camp, arriving at Lake Tagalala, where a stunning boat safari awaits. This offers close-up photo encounters with crocodiles, hippos, and myriad birds. Enjoy a packed lunch on the shore of the lake before continuing your afternoon safari in a different part of the park.
Finish your day with dinner at Sable Mountain Lodge.

Wake up at first light for a walking safari, exploring on foot the miombo woodland around Sable and following trails used by buffalo, elephants, and other wildlife. The walk also takes you down the Sable River, where black-and-white colobus monkeys call out from the massive sterculia trees overhead. This morning offers excellent opportunities to capture smaller fauna. In the late afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai community. This visit will provide cultural insights into their way of life and offer opportunities to photograph them.

Once again, embark early in the morning for a full day of safari focused on photography. Our guides are highly experienced in the park and knowledgeable about animal behavior, providing you with the best opportunities to capture stunning images. As the last light fades, return to Sable Mountain Lodge.

After breakfast, depart by car for Saadani National Park, one of the most unique parks in Tanzania. The journey will take you through the scenic Uluguru Mountains and along the route to the Indian Ocean.
Upon arrival, check in to the Simply Saadani Camp for dinner.

After a leisurely breakfast, leave the camp and head straight to the Wami river for a fantastic boat safari amongst superb hippo pods and crocs.
Sadaani is one of only 2 parks in the whole of Tanzania where boat safaris are permitted, the other park being Nyerere national park.  After a few hours on the river, you’ll game drive back to camp arriving at last light.

Wake up early for a birding-focused walking safari around the camp. This 2-hour walk will take you through the bush, offering excellent opportunities to photograph beautiful birds, monkeys, and smaller fauna along the way.
In the afternoon, enjoy a gentle canoe ride on the Mafui Creek. This bird-rich habitat will provide many chances to capture stunning bird photographs.

Once again, start early for a morning game drive from the camp into Saadani National Park. Explore different areas of the park with our experienced guides before returning for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on another safari in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, and other amazing African wildlife.

After breakfast, transfer by car to Dar es Salaam for your onwards journey.
