Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Mto wa Mbu

Depart Arusha early morning and drive approx. 2–3 hours (120 km) to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a half-day game drive spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and abundant bird species. Marvel at the park’s iconic baobab trees and seasonal swamps. After the safari, drive to Mto wa Mbu for your overnight stay.

  • Accommodation: Budget lodge or camp in Mto wa Mbu
  • Distance/Time: Arusha → Tarangire NP: 120 km / 2–3 hrs; Tarangire → Mto wa Mbu: 70 km / 1–1.5 hrs

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Drive approx. 2 hours (90 km) to the Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the day on a full-day crater safari, spotting the Big Five, flamingos, hippos, and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater with breathtaking views. After the safari, drive back to Arusha for your overnight stay at Venice Hotel.

Day 3: Arusha – Materuni Waterfalls – Arusha / Venice Hotel

Private tour to Materuni Waterfalls (approx. 1.5 hrs, 40 km). Hike through lush forests, enjoy the waterfall, and experience local coffee-making with the Chagga community. Return to Arusha after the tour.
